CARSON CITY – The downward tailspin in Clark County in the sale of autos, furniture and building supplies continued in June. The state Taxation Department reported Friday that taxable sales in Clark County fell to $2.4 billion, down 21.7 percent compared to the same month a year ago. It was the 10th straight month of declining business in Southern Nevada. Statewide, taxable sales dropped to $3.3 billion, off 20.5 percent.
